How to use

  • Two injections are required, recommended to be given at 12 and 15 months of age (at least one month apart).
  • Vaccination is carried out at designated clinics. Parents must bring their child's vaccination card for the doctor's reference on the day of vaccination.

Things to note

  • After vaccination, you may experience pain at the injection site, mild fever, redness or rash at the injection site, and swollen glands in the cheeks or neck, but these symptoms will heal quickly.
  • If these events occur, they usually develop within two weeks of vaccination and are less likely to occur after the second dose.
  • If you have received the MMR vaccine or varicella vaccine at 12 months of age, you can give it between 15 months and 6 years of age.
  • Inject the second dose of MMRV combination vaccine, with the two injections at least 1 month apart.
  • On the day of vaccination, parents must bring their child's vaccination card for the doctor's reference.

The MMRV vaccine effectively protects against measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox. It combines the current separate chickenpox shot with the measles, mumps, and rubella three-in-one shot.

Measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox are all childhood illnesses that can be transmitted through droplets or the air. Chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus and can be transmitted through direct contact with infected individuals. In severe cases, it can lead to life-threatening complications such as pneumonia and encephalitis. Measles can cause complications such as otitis media, tracheitis, and encephalitis. Mumps can cause hearing loss and inflammation of the ovaries or testicles. Rubella can cause arthritis, encephalitis, conjunctivitis, and miscarriage or birth defects in pregnant women.
